Legal name, trading name, registered address and the person responsible for the food business. Where a public food-hygiene record exists, matching it will save retyping, and it does not stand in for an identity check.

Planned self-service onboarding
Start with the business you already run.
UrbanBite will start with your business and trading pattern, then turn an existing menu into a draft. Nothing will publish until the vendor has reviewed it.
Business first. Menu second. Fulfilment third. The path will adapt to a street-food trader, food truck, takeaway or restaurant—no restaurant-grade setup forced on everyone.

From public record to published ordering page.
Pre-launch preview. The capabilities below are planned, are not available today, and may change or may not all be included at initial UK launch.
Public food-business information will reduce repetitive typing. AI will help structure menu content. The vendor will remain responsible for business details, item information and every allergen label.
Public records assist. They do not replace identity checks.
AI drafts. Your team approves.
Allergens stay vendor-controlled. AI will not decide or certify them.
Menu work comes first. Payment setup will not block the first menu draft.

BEFORE YOU START
What you would need
to hand.
A photograph of a printed board, a PDF or a spreadsheet. The import produces a draft for review; item names, descriptions, options, photographs and allergen labels are all confirmed by the vendor before anything is published.
Trading hours or pitch times, whether service is collection, table service or vendor-managed delivery, and the preparation times you want customers to see.
Bank payout and identity checks belong to go-live, not to the first draft. Menu work is deliberately not blocked behind them, so the setup that takes the longest is the part you can do first.
SETUP THAT BRANCHES
Only configure what your service needs.
Vendor type will shape the later questions. A food truck should not have to configure tables.
Location changes with the day.
Trading location, menu availability, collection and a QR code that travels.
Keep order intake clear.
Collection windows, preparation status and a direct ordering page.
Add depth only when needed.
Table service, menu sections and staff workflows, without dominating the street-vendor path.
THE REVIEW BOUNDARY
AI removes repetition.
People keep authority.
The menu import will create a draft, not a published fact. Vendors will approve item names, prices, choices and photos. Allergen categories will come from controlled lists and will always require vendor selection.

Not sure how your service would fit?
UrbanBite is not yet accepting vendor registrations or maintaining a launch list, and nothing here creates an account. If the setup above raises a question about your own operation, email us and we will answer it.
